Discussion includes his childhood; early musical influences; his interest in blues; his songwriting, including the story behind "Doin' My Time"; working as a radio performer; experiences as a traveling performer; his association with Acuff-Rose and working with Fred Rose; and experiences from his recording career, including work with Paul Cohen, Owen Bradley, D Kilpatrick, and Don Pierce.
